Introduction

Inspiration – Aegean Sea, Coastal Light and Freedom

Inspired by the organic silhouettes of coral reefs and the rich tones of the Aegean, Kurdoğlu designed Aegea as an ode to seaside horizons and salt-scented air.

The branching structure echoes living coral formations, while the matte blue surface is kissed with touches of gold that recall sunlight dancing on the water. This contrast between cool and warm tones gives the sculpture a sense of depth and movement, evoking waves, freedom and the soothing rhythm of the sea.
