The Aegis Silent Wisdom Mask Trio is a sculptural statement piece that brings modern mythology, protection and quiet introspection into your living space. Created for Dea’rt Istanbul by artist and restorer Derya Kurdoğlu, this base mounted mask sculpture features three fragmented faces gently held by elongated hands, finished in layered metallic bronze and deep charcoal tones.

Each face appears to hover between presence and absence – one resting softly in an open palm, one half concealed, one emerging from shadow. Together, they suggest wisdom, boundaries and the choice to turn away from what does not serve the soul. Inspiration – Protection, Inner Voice and The Masks We Wear

Kurdoğlu imagined Aegis as a visual poem about the masks we wear and the truths we carefully hold. The sculpted hands echo gestures of support, silence and guardianship, while the textured faces feel like archetypal characters from a timeless story.

The metallic surfaces are deliberately distressed, evoking ancient bronzes and weathered stone – objects that have witnessed many lives and quietly absorbed their secrets.
